Workshop: Point of View
12. May 2022 10:00 -14:00
Room 2.15
The workshop revolves around the topic of image concepts as part of artistic practice. In particular, the focus will be on the point of view as a decisive creative means of artistic image concepts, but also on its social and political dimension. How does the point of view change our gaze and our relationship to our subject or object in front of the camera? What does it say about what happens behind the camera, and how can we open up completely different perspectives? In the workshop we will look at different image concepts and their point of views, discuss them and try out in experiments which shifts result from the change of the point of view. Please bring examples of point of views or image concepts that are interesting for you, this can be from your own practice or the work of others, or even a (moving) image from the media or similar.
